Mr. Adeyemi is the Co-founder and former Chief Operating Officer of Fenchurch Group Nigeria. Until recently, he was also the Managing Director of Fenchurch Power Nigeria Limited and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Fenchurch Michelson West Africa Limited.
He is a knowledgeable, experienced Energy Professional with solid Technical and Commercial Capability. He has over 20 years of expertise in Field Development Projects (Reservoir Management, Drilling & Completion, Production, Installation and Commissioning), with a strong focus on Business Operational issues related to Large Offshore Facilities in the North Sea and Gulf of Guinea, and Power Generation and Distribution services in Nigeria. He has extensive knowledge of Business Process Re-engineering, Project Management and establishing best-in-class Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Culture.
At Fenchurch Group, he oversaw the group’s wide range of operational delivery Services for Nigeria and Africa. He is currently the Chaiirman of Fenchurch Energy Nigeria Limited,, the group’s due diligence advisory service for the Oil & Gas Industry and Chief Executive Officer of Fenchurch Michelson West Africa; Before Fenchurch he led and managed projects for clients including BP, Total, Shell, Maurel et Prom, Tullow and Chevron; at Metacor (ECM), where he was responsible for Project Controls, Planning and Strategy, and at Weatherford International, where he was the regional Project Manager responsible for Drilling and Production Services for sub-Saharan Africa. He sits on the board of Zeric Energy Resources, SyncSystems West Africa and BPSL Nigeria.
He holds a degree in Civil Engineering (B. Eng.) from the University of Lagos, (MSc) in Oil and Gas Engineering, from the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland and has attended various courses at the Energy Institute UK and the Institute of Petroleum Engineering
Adewunmi R. Obakoya is the Managing Partner of Legal Inn, where she leads the firm’s transactional and advisory practices with a focus on finance, corporate/commercial, energy and infrastructure, shipping, and information technology. She also serves as Company Secretary on various boards. She is recognised for delivering complex, multi-jurisdictional mandates across capital markets, project development, structured finance, M&A, and regulatory compliance.
Adewunmi has acted on high-value financing transactions, including advising on major debt and equity instruments, syndicated lending, asset finance, and project finance across banking, real estate, power, oil and gas, and infrastructure. In energy and infrastructure, she has advised on the development of multiple Independent Power Projects (IPPS)
In corporate and commercial matters, Adewunmi has advised multinational clients such as Cisco Capital, Siemens AG, SAS (US), Credit Suisse, and GE on market entry, compliance, cross‑border banking, employment, technology leasing, and regulatory strategy in Nigeria . She has conducted due diligence and advised on acquisitions and private equity investments, including transactions for Afrinvest West Africa Limited and Siegwerk. Her experience extends to pension scheme structuring and securities market participation, including advisory on acquisitions of Nigerian Stock Exchange dealing members .
Adewunmi’s academic credentials include an LL.M in Corporate and Securities Law from University College London, awarded with Merit, where she received the Jeremy Bentham Prize in 2006 . She holds a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School and an LL.B from the University of Lagos .
